As a family-run ceramic tile company with 70 years of history, Ceratec had a lot going for it when COPP was brought in to help the company achieve lofty new goals. But even though Ceratec was doing a number of things extraordinarily well and was universally loved by its dealers, they were only the 3rd most important tile supplier across its national dealer network.

In collaboration with Ceratec, COPP quickly developed a survey that helped identify how Ceratec could achieve #1 status with targeted dealers. The results were revealing, and three recommendations were proposed: improve marketing, implement strategy-based product development, and establish a commercial division. COPP and Ceratec went to work and rebranded the company, developed and launched a compelling retail boutique concept, conducted a thorough strategic product review with a multidisciplinary team, and positioned the commercial team as a responsive solutions provider.

The results were spectacular. Not only did Ceratec leapfrog into the #1 position at many of its Galerie 1949 dealers, but architects and designers quickly took notice and began working with Ceratec, resulting in record sales levels across the company.
In 2021, Designer and COPP collaborator Anne Côté was recognized with the prestigious GRAND PRIX DU DESIGN for her groundbreaking display concept that she created for the project. The concept proved its innovative prowess by veering away from the standard materials and techniques used in making displays and reimagined a more durable and stylish display concept. The 'Landau' case was built with powder-coated metal using laser cutting and folded metal to introduce innovative curved shapes while assuring all engineering metric requirements and functionality requests were addressed.
